Pak military finds 'receipt to Paradise' in Lal MasjidISLAMABAD, JULY 8, 2007 (PTI)Pakistani security forces found a leaflet being distributed among the holed up militants in the besieged Lal Masjid stating that their death while resisting military operation would lead them to paradise.A leaflet recovered from a 15-year-old boy, who managed to escape the mosque complex through a damaged portion of a wall, stated that "it is a receipt to Paradise"."Those who are killed while fighting would enter in the Paradise directly", Online newsagency quoted from the receipt. The receipt was recovered from Jawad Ahmed, who was apparently held hostage by armed men inside Lal Masjid when he entered the mosque to take his sister back. However, another brother of Jawad Ahmed along with sister had escaped from the mosque with great difficulty.Extremist clerics in Pakistan took advantage of gullibility of the rural youth and often 'blessed' those taking part in the suicide bombings that their sacrifice would fetch them and their family a receipt to heaven. The rescued boy said that people holed up in the mosque have erected barricades to prevent army raid and stopped the male and female students of the seminary to leave. He said that there is shortage of food in the mosque, as only biscuits, chips and drink are being given to hostage people while rice are being served to militants who took part in the fighting.Deputy Administrator of the mosque Abdul Rashid Ghazi however questioned the boy's version saying that he was an official "plant" brought in by the government to defame him.
