Bertf:
I have written about the order of battle of PSYOP troops in the 60s. I would like to hear from you at sgmbert@hotmail.com if you have the time. I am always interested in things like where you were, what you did, your commander, etc. It would be nice to have an accurate record of where everyone was during the Vietnam War.

I served in the 245th in NhaTrang from June 1966 to June 0f 1967. Nha Trang was our base camp but we were out in the field with the 1st Calvary (1st of the 7Th) and (2nd of the 7th) out of Phen Tiet. I went on from there to become a cartoonist and illustrator for Pacific Stars & Stripes in Tokyo untill Jan of 1969. Paul Burnett (Gunner) was a close friend of mine.
Sincerely
James (Robbie) Robbins

Hey there Robbins remember me. I was also assigned to the 245th Psyop Co, 66 - 67 and also attached to the 2/7 cav after you. My name is Paul Johnson. After I left the 245th I went to CONUS for 3 months and then returned to Vietnam and was assigned to the 10th BN in Can Tho. I was attached out once again to the 9th Inf Div in Dong Tam until I was wounded in Nov 68 went back to 10th Bn in mid Jan 69 and ETS'd in March 69. Later I re enlisted and retired as a MSG in 1988. Had many assignments in my 22.5 years but the most memorable was that of active duty advisor to 2 Reserve PSYOP Units in Texas (the 244th PSYOP Company in Abilene and the 245th PSYOP Company in Dallas this was from January 1980 until December 1982) One other thing I still have some of the leaflets you drew and some cartoons that you passed around the compny. Hope all has been well with you. I am now totally retired and live in Old Town, Florida with my wife Pam. 8)
mervrob:
I am currently with the 345th PSYOP which is the successor to the 245th in Dallas. We are working on our unit history, and find a big blank during the period you were there. Also, I am working on researching PSYOP in Vietnam for my MA in History. I want to look at the tactical side, of which very little has been written. If you would be interested, I would like to contact you further on both these issues.
Eddie
