Hi Philip, Sorry for the delay replying. I'm having a frantic few weeks! For Allied air-dropped leaflets on Holland between 1944-45, see these two links: http://www.psywar.org/apdsearchform.php?lang=Dutch&year=1944http://www.psywar.org/apdsearchform.php?lang=Dutch&year=1945(Sorry almost all of these do not have illustrations unfortunately). These would have been dropped by aircraft, not fired by artillery shell. Here's a photograph of British troops of the 19th Leaflet Unit, 21st Army Group, preparing leaflet artillery shells for firing on German troops, taken in Roermond: Previously I have tried to locate the war diary of the 19th Leaflet Unit at the National Archives but it seems to be missing. For leaflet warfare in Holland in WWII, try to get hold of the book 'De Wervelwind, De Vliegende Hollander: en andere uit de lucht verspreide vlugschriften'; de Vries, Leonard/de Groot, Jan; (Skarabee Facsimile, 1974) ISBN 90 6071 133 5 The first British leaflet drops were made on the night of 3/4 September 1939. During the 'phoney war' the Royal Air Force spend most of its time on leaflet drops. This is the first leaflet: http://www.psywar.org/product_1939EH273.phpHope this helps? Lee
