Hi, im new here and i was wanting to find something out. My father served in vietnam (not related to psyops or anything) and one of his patches is a subdued od flaming sword SHAEF patch, which i really need to know why he'd have it, because from what i can gather it was only used in WWII. My father claims he forgets why he has it, or maybe he just doesnt want me to know about it. I really dont know if this is the right place to look, but any help would be much appreciated

Did you father serve in West Germany at any time? I believe a similar patch was used by US forces in Germany.

Yes he did, thank you so much. He was stationed in Germany for around 10 years and my older sister was born there. Thanks!
