A note about this leaflet. It is designed for areas where German soldiers fight on German soil, being addressed both to soldiers and civilians. This is in line with the policy of combining soldier and civilian appeals and encouraging one to influence the other to help in finishing the war.

A "double purpose" leaflet, for areas in which German soldiers are fighting under the eyes of German civilians. As this situation becomes more and more common, leaflets are more and more designed to appeal both to soldiers and civilians. One side of this leaflet asks the soldier to inquire from his own people if they want the slaughter to go on; while the other side, addressed to civilians, exhorts them to let the soldiers know what they think of their senseless sacrifices and of the destruction of towns by attempts at defending them.
