NOT YOUR CHILD, just one of the countless children who have been killed by German bombs in Warsaw, Rotterdam and Belgrade… How much sorrow and misery, how many burnt out houses, destroyed churches, devastated towns and villages bear witness throughout Europe against the man who preached this war for twenty years, prepared it for seven years and on September 1st, 1939 unleashed it! And all that was done in the name of the German Reich – in your name, under the swastika flag – your flag, by German armies – your fathers, sons and brothers…
DO YOU WANT TO PAY FOR THIS?
“Belgrade is still burning!”
Thus the Deutschland Radio reported on April 9th, 194l. On the same day the Yugoslav Government announced:
“We inform all civilised peoples of the frightful crimes committed by the German armed forces in the war imposed upon us.
“Belgrade, the capital of our country, which in good time was proclaimed an open and undefended city, was bombed by German aircraft without a declaration of war.
“On Sunday morning, while the sound of church bells was calling the faithful to church for divine service, a bombardment eclipsing in horror all imagination was launched by German planes. A veritable deluge of incendiary and explosive bombs turned the city into a mass of ruins and gutted homes, while all the streets of Belgrade were covered with the bodies of children, women and old men.
“Never during the long history of this martyr city were such cruelties committed even by the most primitive invaders. The devastation of a defenceless and open city was executed by aircraft of that nation which claimed for itself the first place amongst cultured peoples!
“Horrible scenes occurred during the bombardment when German planes machine-gunned women and children fleeing from their burning homes. Flying low, the German bombers turned houses into hecatombs”.
Warsaw, Rotterdam - and now also Belgrade!
These three cities testify what the world owes Germany: the invention of total war!
Total war against the weaker doesn't hurt you!
WE ARE HITTING BACK!
